Gulf VAT Calculator
UAE 5% and Saudi 15%: add VAT or strip it out, with registration thresholds.
Six calculators for people who work, hire, or do business in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Each page shows its formula, its legal source, and its assumptions — because a wrong gratuity or Zakat figure is not a rounding error.
Each tool is one page, one job. All calculations run locally in your browser.
UAE 5% and Saudi 15%: add VAT or strip it out, with registration thresholds.
End-of-service gratuity under Art. 51: 21 days / 30 days on basic salary, capped at 2 years' wage.
End-of-service award under Arts. 84–85: half-month / full-month on last wage, with resignation tiers.
2.5% of net zakatable wealth above nisab, with Hanafi / AAOIFI nisab and gold / silver options. Educational only.
Murabaha cost-plus and diminishing musharaka (textbook model) with profit rate / rent, plus a maths-only conventional comparison.
Enter each offer exactly as made — basic, allowances, housing, transport, school, living costs — and compare disposable income.
Every Gulf calculator on this site cites the law it implements: UAE VAT from the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Tax Authority; UAE gratuity from Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021, Article 51; Saudi EOSB from Labor Law Articles 84–85 (Royal Decree M/51, Bureau of Experts text); Zakat from the 2.5% / nisab / hawl rules with school differences shown; halal financing from the Murabaha / Ijarah / diminishing musharaka structures. Where the law is ambiguous — the UAE cap's wage definition, the translation of “working days”, the Saudi 2025 consolidation — the page says so instead of silently picking one reading.
General guidance only — not legal, tax, or religious advice. They do not collect, hold, route, or distribute any money, including zakat. For a binding decision, check the cited law, your contract, and — for religious questions — a qualified scholar. Rates verified 2026-10-18. If a rate or law has changed since then, the law prevails over the calculator.
